Our History – Shaped by the Potter, Sent to the Nations
The history of Potters Field Ministries is a testimony of God’s faithfulness and the obedience of His servants to go where He sends them. From humble beginnings, Potters Field Ministries has grown into a global outreach, reaching over 10 countries and impacting countless lives with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our journey has been marked by God’s provision, divine opportunities, and a relentless passion to see people – especially children – come to know the Savior.
From the earliest days, Potters Field Ministries has been committed to a two-fold mission: to shape lives for Christ and to serve on the mission field. The very name comes from this vision – combining the Potter’s Wheel with the Mission Field. On the potter’s wheel, clay is molded, refined, and transformed into a vessel of beauty and purpose. In the mission field, lives are touched, hearts are changed, and the gospel is proclaimed. This beautiful picture has become the heartbeat of everything we do.
Expanding Across the Globe
Over the years, God has expanded Potters Field Ministries far beyond its original borders. Today, our ministry reaches over 10 countries and continues to grow. We have sponsored thousands of children, planted churches, built schools, and operated feeding programs that have provided meals for tens of thousands of hungry children. Our work has brought hope to communities in East Africa (Kenya, Uganda, Congo), Southeast Asia (Cambodia), and Central America (Guatemala), with plans for even greater expansion.
Our heart’s desire has always been to see children from all walks of life in every culture saying YES to JESUS and no to sin. We believe that when a child follows Christ wholeheartedly, their life produces fruit that is visible to everyone around them – fruit that leads to praise, thanksgiving, and glory to God.
The Potter and the Clay
A unique part of the story of Potters Field Ministries is the way God uses the gifts of Pastor Mike Rozell. As a skilled potter, Pastor Mike Rozell uses his craft as a living illustration of biblical truth. In ministry events across the world, he demonstrates on the potter’s wheel while teaching how God is the Potter and we are the clay. His message is simple yet powerful: just as the potter shapes the clay into a vessel of purpose, so God shapes our lives through His loving hands.
These demonstrations have touched hearts in every nation where Potters Field Ministries has served. People of all ages and backgrounds have been moved to surrender their lives to the Potter’s hand, allowing Him to mold them into vessels for His glory.
A Ministry of Word, Song, and Testimony
Alongside Pastor Mike Rozell is his wife, Pam Rozell, whose ministry of music and testimony is an essential part of our history. Pam Rozell is a gifted singer, songwriter, and storyteller whose life reflects the redemption and restoration that only God can bring. Her powerful testimony of how the Lord brought her and Mike together as a ministry team has encouraged countless individuals to trust in God’s plan for their own lives.
In every outreach, Pam Rozell sings songs of restoration and hope, sharing the love of Christ through her voice and her words. Together, Pastor Mike Rozell and Pam Rozell form a ministry partnership that reflects unity, passion, and a deep love for the Lord.
Ministry Impact – Then and Now
From the beginning, Potters Field Ministries has focused on three core areas of impact:
- Discipleship– Leading children and communities into a deeper understanding of God’s Word.
- Provision– Meeting physical needs by providing food, clothing, education, and shelter.
- Evangelism– Sharing the good news of Jesus Christ in both word and action.
Our feeding programs have nourished tens of thousands of children who might otherwise go hungry. Our sponsorship programs have ensured that thousands receive the education they need to build a better future. And our church plants and discipleship initiatives have created communities rooted in biblical truth.
Moving Forward with the Same Vision
While much has been accomplished, our work is far from over. The vision of Potters Field Ministries remains as strong as ever – to keep going until the whole world hears the name of Jesus. Our teams on the ground in East Africa, Cambodia, and Guatemala are committed to reaching more children, discipling more leaders, and planting more churches.
We will continue to use every gift God has given us – from the pottery wheel of Pastor Mike Rozell to the music and testimony of Pam Rozell – to proclaim His truth. Every church planted, every child fed, every testimony shared is part of the story God is writing through Potters Field Ministries.
