As a team from Potter’s Field met up with the group in Guatemala in June 2012 to explore the possibilities of partnership, what happened was one of those defining moments where you just know that Heaven showed up on earth. From kindred spirits, to like-minded vision, to Koinonia fellowship, the Holy Spirit sealed the deal and we are now up and running in Antigua, looking forward to many years of shared
oversight for the souls of this new area for PFM’s involvement and co-laboring efforts with Pastor Francisco Reyes the Senior Pastor of Calvary Chapel Antigua and his wife, Ruby.
Calvary Chapel Antigua was a church plant by Calvary Chapel St. Petersburg and so it is no wonder that one of their team has joined us in this endeavor to minister to the people of Guatemala. Pastor Art Dykstra and his wife, Robin, have had a heart for Guatemala for many years. Art has visited this amazing country over 40 times during his years of missionary work.
Pastor Don McClure, Pastor Michael Rozell, and Pastor Danny Hodges brainstormed all that could be accomplished in Guatemala and after prayer and due diligence, we have located at venue we believe will be able to house not just Calvary Chapel Antigua services, but short term mission teams, the IGNITE Mission Training School, and the Calvary Chapel Outreach Fellowship Central American Pastors' Conference. The facility is uniquely suited to help us reach Antigua and the surrounding communities with the power and light of the Gospel.
