Potter’s Field Ministries partners with two churches in Nairobi, Kenya. Rongai "B" Church, overseen by Pastor George Muguro and Utawala All Nations Gospel Church, overseen by Senior Pastor Musa (Moses) Muguro.
Potter’s Field Kids launched their first program in Kenya on January 7, 2012 at the Rongai “B” Church, with a weekly Kids Club. Initially expecting an attendance of 100 kids, Pastor George was overwhelmed when 200 children showed up the first day!. PFK expects to start another duplicate program at Pastor Musa Muguro’s church in Utawala. It seemed only fitting to do so in light of the fact that Pastor George and Pastor Musa are twin brothers. They enjoy not just an identical face, but an identical heart to share the Gospel.
Potter’s Field Ministries was introduced to Pastors George and Musa through our strategic partner, Crossroads Community Church. Pastor Bill Ritchie and his congregation have been supporting the work in Kenya for a few years and when they shared with us the heart of these two brothers, we had to go take a look ourselves. We found it just as they told us – bigger than Africa itself.
We are excited to be sending a team of IGNITE interns to Kenya in April. They will be accompanied by a family from Crossroads Community Church who have gone through our IGNITE Mission Training class of January 2012 and will be long-term house parents for future teams of IGNITE.
We are excited for this, our newest PFK location, and all that God is doing in this area of the world.
