Many children in Potter's Field Kids locations are unable to attend
school for various reasons. To address this problem, we have added to
our programs in Central America, Africa, and Southeast Asia literacy
programs.
Through our literacy programs, unschooled children are taught the
foundations - to read, write, and do basic arithmetic. This is done by
using the Bible as one of the main educational tools, supplemented by
other specific teaching aides and curriculum. All the needed materials,
staff and faculty, and nutrition are provided without cost to the children
and their families.
