In 1992, Pastor Michael and Pam gave their first Potter’s Field presentation at a women’s retreat in South Florida. Michael made a pot, gave a short message on Jeremiah 18, while Pam sang original songs composed specifically for the event. The Holy Spirit was so present in that event, that Pam knew that this was what they were supposed to do together before the foundations of the earth. Michael never dreamed that his avocation as a potter would be used as a tool along with his wife’s gift of singing/songwriting, to bring a message of hope of the ‘potter and the clay’ that would lead countless people to Christ, heal marriages, and put broken lives back together again.
Though Michael had a background in marketing, the Lord told them they would never ‘market’ their ministry as they both did in their vocations in the world. They were to ‘walk by faith’ for the bookings and to trust Him completely for their provision. They are still doing this today, eighteen years later. It wasn’t long before a phone call came from a “700 Club” producer – he had found a brochure about the Potter’s Field presentation in the parking lot – inviting them to be on the program. That led to Pastor Michael and Pam being in demand in churches all across the country.
Pastor Michael and Pam continue to tour, ministering the love and grace of the Lord in over 100 church services each year all around the world. Recently, the Lord has expanded the reach of Potter’s Field Ministries to extend beyond their touring ministry. The Potter’s Field Kids Programs were birthed to minister to children in Central America, Southeast Asia and Africa through an orphanage, after school and literacy programs, and providing education and recreation. Also, the Global Impact Program was established at Potter’s Field Ranch to train missionaries to fulfill the Great Commission, sending many workers into the field each year.
Potter’s Field Ministries stands as a testimony to the Lord's miracles and power. He has truly fashioned a ministry that is doing its part to spread the Gospel of Christ all over the world, whether it be through the touring ministry or by taking care of God’s children. We look forward to the future, that through His will, we will continue to see many souls saved, lives healed and changed, and children cared for around the globe - until the whole world hears!
